Here we go...

Well it has been a couple of weeks and I thought that maybe I should update the ole blog with some things that I have done.  I feel as if I have gotten my creative mojo back and I am loving it.  I am working on a paper bag album right now that I hope to have finished today.  Then I believe that I am going to try to sell it.  I have been thinking lately about opening up an etsy shop and making albums to put on there.  I love making the small albums, but I don't use them, I love 12x12's for me.

Anyway, here are some layouts that I have recently created.  I hope that you like them!

Hopefully I'll be done with the paper bag album soon and I'll post some pics of that ;o)

So, as ole Jake would say....

Here's winkin' at ya ;o)

Long Time, but been busy!!!

Gosh, where has the time gone?  I can't believe that it is already October!  I am loving the fall weather that we are having and I can't wait until the leaves start changing colors!  Fall is a favorite season of mine!

I was very productive this weekend, but there is a reason too!  I was at Crop for a Cure with Heavenly Scrapbooking Retreats.  We had a blast!

I was able to work on my design team commitments for the Mosy Scrapper!  We had a fantabulous sponsor this month and I fell in love with the kit!  At first I thought that it was going to be hard for me, because it wasn't my style, but once I got started with it, I couldn't stop!  Our kits this months was sponsored by Scrapcetera Paper Kits.  If you haven't seen them yet then go here and get you one!!!!  You will NOT be disappointed!

Now, I won't make you wait any longer...here are the layouts that I made with this wonderful kit!

Now here are some more layouts that I have done recently and some that I completed at the retreat:

And these are a few that are still work's in progress ;o)

OK, I think that is all I have for now!

Thanks for looking and as Jake would say, here's winking at ya ;o)

Another quick little post...

Boy, I have been on a roll the past couple of days....I hope that it never ends, but inevitably it usually does and the mojo fairies leave me again.

Anyway...for those of you who know me, know that I HATE making cards.  Well low and behold, what did I do yesterday?  I made a stinking card!  and the best part?  I like it.....It is made out of a paper bag ;o)

Here are the pics:

The Front of the Card

The Inside of the card..
The tag hidden inside..

So thanks for taking a look!

Something quick...

Monday was my little boys birthday...well o.k. so he isn't so little anymore, but he will always be my little boy.
Over at The Mosy Scrapper we had a color of the week challenge with this photo:

So when we took Cody's picture right before the cake, I knew that I would be doing a layout for this challenge! Here is what I did:

So anyway that is it for now...We have another color challenge up so I am hopefully going to do that one today.  If you haven't signed up yet at The Mosy Scrapper, then please do so!  It is a great place to be ;o)

Not much...

Haven't had much time to do much of anything....this is the reason why:

Xena had her puppies....she had 4 girls and 3 boys.  She is such a good momma too!

I did get a little bit of time to complete this layout of my beautiful granddaughter, Gianna....

O.K....so I know that this is short and sweet, but all I have time for right now....

So as Jake (daddy of the puppies) would say:

Here's winkin at ya ;o)

I've been busy

Well now, I decided to do some scrapping for me...well I did use some challenges over at the Mosy Scrapper to help out a little bit ;o)

This first layout is of my son, Cody. This was a sketch challenge that Christa gave to us at TMS. It is the Teen Angst collection from We R Memory Keepers and the wings are from Prima.

This next layout is of my grandchildren, Dominick and Gianna. The picture was taken while we were taking photos for Gianna's first birthday. Dominick loves his little sister and loves giving her hugs and kisses. The paper that I used was from DCWV's Mariposa collection and the flowers are from K & Co. their Sea Glass Grand Adhesions. The title I cut from my Cricut Expression using the Storybook font. I ran the letters through my Xyron and then placed them on a transparency and adhered to the layout with pop dots. I used Jazz Blue Glimmer Mist on the doilie.

Now everyone that know's me, knows I hate, hate, HATE, making cards!!!! I will do it though in some situations though. Even though they aren't that good. Well, Janet over at The Mosy Scrapper is patiently waiting for me do a card for one of her challenges. So I am surprising her. And I surprised my hubby too, because I made this quick little card for him. Janet's challenge was to make a card with numbers on it. This morning while I was working on the layout of Cody, I saw this paper that had the numbers on it and new it would be perfect and it would make the perfect card for my husband. So I titled it "My no. 1" and wrote a little note on the inside of it letting my wonderful hubby know that he is my number 1. The one was actually green, so I colored with my copic's in black and then sprayed it with adhesived and dipped in Diamond Dust.

I hope that you like what I have showed you this morning ;o)

As Jake would say.....

Here's winkin' at ya ;o)

Almost forgot this one...

This is also another layout that I did with my Anthologies Connection kit. I have been working on this one for a couple of weeks. For some reason this was a really hard layout for me and then all of a sudden on Monday it all came together. Who knows.... I hope that you like it. I know I can't wait for the next Anthologies Connection kit! It should be coming soon!

A recipe card...

I made this 6 x6 recipe card to go in my daughter's cookbook that I am making for her. I used some of the scraps from my Anthologies Connection kit. It if from the Pink Paislee, Queen Bee collection.

Hope you like!

Where does the time go?

My plan was to post more on my blog, but is seems as if I never have the time.  Where do all of you bloggers find time to get here and post?  I need to know!!!!   I have things that I would love to talk about on here, but then forget about them, why?  Because I got to busy to post them!  And to think I don't work outside of the home, I should have all kinds of time....imagine what it would be like if I did work!  I know how it would be, I would be more organized and make better use of my time.  Oh well so I am not a list maker or an organizer so I guess I will remain a discombobulated (OMG I used a big word) person for the rest of my menopausal, CRS (can't remember shit) life, lol....but it is my life and honestly I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Well, my husband Wayne has now lost 75+ pounds!!!! YAY!  I am so very proud of him, he works hard at even though he says he cheated at it.  He had the Lap-Band surgery back in October of 2009 and it has done wonders for him!  I exercises every single day and I have joined him on that.  I am making a little bit of progress.  Six weeks ago I was in a size 14 and now I am in a 12 and I can get those 9/10's on and buttoned, but I do like to breathe, so I guess I am not quite ready for those, YET!  The weight is finally starting to come off, it is taking it's time because I am building lots of muscle.  My legs have never looked this damn good!  Those million dollar legs that some of the actresses have, have nothing on mine...well except maybe another foot in height, lol...

O.K. let me get to this layout that I have done.  This is for a color challenge over at The Mosy Scrapper.  I love being on their design team!  We are going to have a live chat on this Wednesday evening and we are going to have a ball!  You should hurry up and head on over there and join, the girls there are great and there is a ton of inspiration!  Just click on the link above!

O.K. for this challenge I found a beautiful picture of my grand-daughter Gianna (wait she can't take a bad picture).  I hope that you like and leave me some love, I love hearing from everyone!

So that's it for now and I promise to get better at posting more often!

As Jake would say,
Here's winkin' at ya,

Busy, busy, busy....

I cannot believe that July is already here!  June was such a busy month....hopefully I can slow down and breathe a little bit in the near future.  I am way behind on everything that needs to be done.

I did finish a design team creation for The Mosy Scrapper.  The sponsor for July was My Little Bit of Whimsy.  Stephanie Hart is the owner of My Little Bit of Whimsy and her items of Polymer clay buttons, embellishments and pins are so adorable.  Head on over to her site and see all of the cute stuff that she has, make sure you stop by the blog and gallery too!  I still need to complete a couple of more projects, but I wanted to get at least one posted.  I hope that you like!

Well, so as Jake would say, "Here's winkin' at ya"  And remember to have a safe and wonderfully fun 4th of July.  Also thank a veteran today!

The Mosy Scrapper

Last month I was asked to be on the design team for The Mosy Scrapper the girls there are wonderful!  You need run on over there and join as soon as possible!  The talent is amazing as well :o)

So far I have completed to items from this months sponsor, The Little Black Dress kit club.  I am having fun working with all of the goodies and hope to get more created today!  So anyway here is what I have created so far:

This is going to be the cover for a journal in the future...

This is, of course, of Ariel.  I named this "Don't Blink"  because I blinked and she grew up.  You know all the time that our children are growing up, we are preparing them for when they get older, graduation, jobs, marriage, parenthood...but you know what I realized?  No one prepares us Moms for when our children do grow up and sprout their wings and want to fly.  For graduation we gave Ariel the gift of a cruise, for a job well done in school, making the A B honor roll and just being a great kid, teenager, person!  She has been gone for a little over week now and I am a total basket case.  I know that she is probably having the time of her life, but mom isn't.  Mom is and wasn't prepared for these feelings!  So to all you mom's out there, prepare yourselves as you prepare your children.  It will be the hardest thing you do, to let them grow up and sprout wings, but remember....Don't Blink...

Now here are some pictures for you.  My little girl is growing up!  She turned 18 years old last week..This was her serious cake, made by one of my very best friends, Kathy.

And here is our little girl with a gag cake…It is Little Mermaid (well her name is Ariel) and we even put a “dinglehopper” in the cake ;o)

Notice the “dinglehopper”?  If you have been a good parent and had to undergo countless hours of the Little Mermaid, then you will know what  a dinglehopper is…

And here is daddy, using the dinglehopper on Ariel…

And now for the serious part…My little girl…she has been an amazing child!  She is so sweet and kind hearted.  She truly cares about people and their feelings and is a true and genuine friend.  She is my best friend.  I love you Ariel and I want for you to know that we are so very proud of you and you will be amazing out in the world!  (but it doesn’t seem right, because just last week you were graduating from kindergarten)….

Glimmer Mist and Stickles Addiction

Well now, someone on one of the message boards wanted to see a picture of all of the glimmer mist that I had.  Last count I had 95 bottles....It is an addiction and I love each and every single color!  I just wish I had the ALL...yes there are more colors ;o)

Anyway here is the picture of the Glimmer Mists...

I also have another addiction....Stickles...I love them!  Because of this addiction my wonderful husband went to his woodshop and made me a Stickles organizer.  He sells them also, they are made of pine and are very sturdy. They do not come painted.  If you would like information just shoot me an e-mail  HERE.

Here is the pictures of the organizer and then filled with the Stickles...

So anyway, there ya go ;o)
