And here is our little girl with a gag cake…It is Little Mermaid (well her name is Ariel) and we even put a “dinglehopper” in the cake ;o)

Notice the “dinglehopper”?  If you have been a good parent and had to undergo countless hours of the Little Mermaid, then you will know what  a dinglehopper is…

And here is daddy, using the dinglehopper on Ariel…

And now for the serious part…My little girl…she has been an amazing child!  She is so sweet and kind hearted.  She truly cares about people and their feelings and is a true and genuine friend.  She is my best friend.  I love you Ariel and I want for you to know that we are so very proud of you and you will be amazing out in the world!  (but it doesn’t seem right, because just last week you were graduating from kindergarten)….

Glimmer Mist and Stickles Addiction

Well now, someone on one of the message boards wanted to see a picture of all of the glimmer mist that I had.  Last count I had 95 bottles....It is an addiction and I love each and every single color!  I just wish I had the ALL...yes there are more colors ;o)

Anyway here is the picture of the Glimmer Mists...

I also have another addiction....Stickles...I love them!  Because of this addiction my wonderful husband went to his woodshop and made me a Stickles organizer.  He sells them also, they are made of pine and are very sturdy. They do not come painted.  If you would like information just shoot me an e-mail  HERE.

Here is the pictures of the organizer and then filled with the Stickles...

So anyway, there ya go ;o)

Catching up

O.K. grab a drink, this is going to be a long one.  I have three layouts that I want to post and then some more prom pictures for you to google at ;o)

This layout is of my beautiful grand-daughter Gianna.  She was just learning to crawl here.  This is from the May Swirlydoo's Kit, La vie en Rose.  This is a wonderful kit club!  I used the Creative Imaginations print paper, Creative Imaginations Marah Johnson brads, Prima flowers, tuelle, Distress Ink, alcohol ink and glimmer mist.  I glimmer misted the tuelle and then punched holes in my paper and weaved the tuelle through so that it would not be so bulky (I learned this from Gabrielle, http://gabriellepollacco.blogspot.com/ )  Her blog is wonderful!  I think took the small Prima's, which were white, put Black Soot Distress on the edges and then spritzed with water.  Once I dried them, it wasn't quite enough color, so I added some alcohol ink and it was perfect.  I then spray with adhesive and dipped the flowers in Diamond Dust for some shimmer.  It worked out perfectly.

Here is another layout of my sweet Gianna, she seems to be the main focus of my layouts lately.  I used the Graphic 45 Baby to Bride collection for this layout.  I distressed the edges and then inked with Tea Dye Distress Ink.  I then took a doillie (I love working with them), glimmer misted in Turquoise Blue and then went over the edges with the Tea Dye distress Ink.  I used Prima's, a Cameo from Webster's Pages, and butterfly rub on's from the Paper House.

These were just such good pictures of Chip that I had to do something funny with them.  Being the diva that he is, I thought that the Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess papers were perfect for this!  He was making cheesecake and he was being his normal, funny self when I told him to pose for the camera ;o)  I didn't do any special techniques on this just a little bit of distressing, inking and stamping.

Here are a few more prom pictures of Ariel and her beau Kevin.  They are so cute together ;o)  It is so cute to see them together, it is like they complete each other.  You know we wait around hoping to find Mr. or Mrs. Right, some wait all of the their lives to find that someone.  It took me two divorces before finally finding mine.  I know, I know...she is very young, but I do believe that she has been lucky enough to find her Mr. Right.  Of course I would LOVE IT, if she were to explore her life a little bit more before becoming too attached.  Learn who she is as an individual, but as I have said since she was a little girl, she has a good head on her shoulders, even if she is ditzy.  She knows what she wants.  She even went to her Jr. prom alone because and I quote her, "I don't want to worry about the s*x thing".  I am so very proud of her!  She has became an amazing young woman.  I love you Ariel and please never lose site of who you are!

This is Ariel and brother Cody.  They may fight like cats and dogs, but they do love each other very much and will take up for each other, if they see the other hurting!  He protects her.

Ariel and her Uncle Chip.  She loves him so much.  He was supposed to do her hair for her, but ended up having to do inventory at the jewelry store where he is a jewelry designer.  This was taken in front of the store where he works.  The park where we took the pics is behind them.

Me and my baby girl.  Yes she is taller than me, but then again most people are ;o)  I didn't even have time to put on make up that day.  It took me two hours just to get her hair done!  But her baby fine thick hair, stayed up the whole night!  Curls never stay in her hair.  She laughed when I told her, "I KNOW HOW TO DO BIG HAIR"....I had big hair in the 80's.  All you need is hair gel and a can of Aqua Net.  That is exactly what I used too, lol!  She is so pretty!

Ariel and her Daddy.  She loves him so much and she is his baby girl!  He didn't want to admit it, but I did see a tear in his eye when he saw her all dressed up.  He is so proud of her and only wants the best for her.  She will always be her daddy's little girl.

They laughed at me when I told Ariel to get on Kevin's back.  But this turned out so cute and it shows how cute they are together.  I love this picture of them.

And I am not going to say that this is the end.  I believe that they are walking towards a future together.  I only hope and pray for the best of them.

Well I hope you enjoyed!  Stayed tuned because I have a few more layouts that I am working on...

So, as Jake would say,
Here's winkin' at ya ;o)

Whew...finally

Hey everyone...it has been so crazy around here with it being Ariel's senior year in high school and we just had Prom this past weekend (glad that is over with)...Graduation in just a couple of weeks now.  Here is my beautiful daughter....
This next one is of her and her boyfriend, they not only complement each other, they complete each other....

I have had a chance to get some layouts done, but haven't gotten them posted, so here are some of them ;o)  I hope that you enjoy them and if you have any questions about them or the techniques, just ask!

It is so hard to get a good picture of Joey.  So I cherish every layout that I get to do of him.  There are so many quirks with autism, sometimes it is really hard to find out what autistic kids like and dislike.  Joey let us know very early on that his favorite color was green.  Now that he is 19 years old, his favorite color is still green.  I love you my son.

This layout is of my beautiful grand daughter Gianna.  I was able to get my hands on the new Tim Holtz paper and immediately knew that this picture was meant for that paper!  I glimmer misted the doilie (I add glimmer mist to everything).  The flowers are from my favorite company, Prima.  I cut the letters out with my Sure-Cuts-Alot program on some chipboard.  I then used the drunken scotch technique on the letter and it gave the layout just what I was looking for.

Oh my.....My son Cody!!!  He is quite the character.  I took this picture last year when we were on vacation in Colorado.  The title of the page "WTF" came around because last month he had gotten in trouble at school for using "text language" and the vice-principle had never punished anyone and told us that he was going to use Cody as an example (o.k. I am a red-head AND menopausal, how do you think this went over with me?)  Anyway, the story....Cody has ADHD, we have recently upped his dosage of medication and it has done wonders for him.  He has brought up all of his F's to mostly A's and B's now.  Well the teacher did not have control of the classroom and Cody was trying to listen to the assignment when he turned around and yelled at the other students to "STFU" ....if you know text language then you know what this means.  So he was made an example of and received in school suspension for it.  So anyway, I thought this picture was perfect to document that.

This is my sweet little grand son Dominick.  I love this picture because it looks like he is thinking, hence the name of the layout "Thoughts of a Boy"

I love this picture of Dominick throwing sand up in the air.  It is hard to see it in the picture, but the sand was also caught in mid air.  My daughter Tiffany took this picture at a park in Germany.  When I saw the picture I knew that the perfect title would be "Mr. Sandman send me a dream".  The castle was an SVG file that I downloaded (I will try to find the file so that I can give the designer credit for it).  After I cut it out I used sand colored "Mud-Puddles" all over it.  I also used Lemon Meringue Glimmer Mist on the letters.  The sandcastle in the top right corner was a sticker (yes those of you who know me are now saying "OMG, Sandy used a sticker, lol (I never use stickers)).

I have more to share, but am unable to because they have gone with a design team application.  So I will share those as soon as I can ;o)

So, as Jake would say....

Here's winkin' at ya ;o)
