I've been busy

Well now, I decided to do some scrapping for me...well I did use some challenges over at the Mosy Scrapper to help out a little bit ;o)

This first layout is of my son, Cody. This was a sketch challenge that Christa gave to us at TMS. It is the Teen Angst collection from We R Memory Keepers and the wings are from Prima.

This next layout is of my grandchildren, Dominick and Gianna. The picture was taken while we were taking photos for Gianna's first birthday. Dominick loves his little sister and loves giving her hugs and kisses. The paper that I used was from DCWV's Mariposa collection and the flowers are from K & Co. their Sea Glass Grand Adhesions. The title I cut from my Cricut Expression using the Storybook font. I ran the letters through my Xyron and then placed them on a transparency and adhered to the layout with pop dots. I used Jazz Blue Glimmer Mist on the doilie.

Now everyone that know's me, knows I hate, hate, HATE, making cards!!!! I will do it though in some situations though. Even though they aren't that good. Well, Janet over at The Mosy Scrapper is patiently waiting for me do a card for one of her challenges. So I am surprising her. And I surprised my hubby too, because I made this quick little card for him. Janet's challenge was to make a card with numbers on it. This morning while I was working on the layout of Cody, I saw this paper that had the numbers on it and new it would be perfect and it would make the perfect card for my husband. So I titled it "My no. 1" and wrote a little note on the inside of it letting my wonderful hubby know that he is my number 1. The one was actually green, so I colored with my copic's in black and then sprayed it with adhesived and dipped in Diamond Dust.

I hope that you like what I have showed you this morning ;o)

As Jake would say.....

Here's winkin' at ya ;o)

Almost forgot this one...

This is also another layout that I did with my Anthologies Connection kit. I have been working on this one for a couple of weeks. For some reason this was a really hard layout for me and then all of a sudden on Monday it all came together. Who knows.... I hope that you like it. I know I can't wait for the next Anthologies Connection kit! It should be coming soon!

A recipe card...

I made this 6 x6 recipe card to go in my daughter's cookbook that I am making for her. I used some of the scraps from my Anthologies Connection kit. It if from the Pink Paislee, Queen Bee collection.

Hope you like!

This was a sketch challenge over at The Mosy Scrapper. This is my first 6x12 that I have done! I love it and it was so quick and easy to do ;o) I was also able to use more items from this months sponser at The Mosy Scrapper, My Little Bit of Whimsy. I had so much fun working with items in this kit!

O.K. I know this has been a lot....3 posts from me within a 24 hour period....maybe I need to run and take my temperature!

As Jake would say:

Where does the time go?

My plan was to post more on my blog, but is seems as if I never have the time.  Where do all of you bloggers find time to get here and post?  I need to know!!!!   I have things that I would love to talk about on here, but then forget about them, why?  Because I got to busy to post them!  And to think I don't work outside of the home, I should have all kinds of time....imagine what it would be like if I did work!  I know how it would be, I would be more organized and make better use of my time.  Oh well so I am not a list maker or an organizer so I guess I will remain a discombobulated (OMG I used a big word) person for the rest of my menopausal, CRS (can't remember shit) life, lol....but it is my life and honestly I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Well, my husband Wayne has now lost 75+ pounds!!!! YAY!  I am so very proud of him, he works hard at even though he says he cheated at it.  He had the Lap-Band surgery back in October of 2009 and it has done wonders for him!  I exercises every single day and I have joined him on that.  I am making a little bit of progress.  Six weeks ago I was in a size 14 and now I am in a 12 and I can get those 9/10's on and buttoned, but I do like to breathe, so I guess I am not quite ready for those, YET!  The weight is finally starting to come off, it is taking it's time because I am building lots of muscle.  My legs have never looked this damn good!  Those million dollar legs that some of the actresses have, have nothing on mine...well except maybe another foot in height, lol...

O.K. let me get to this layout that I have done.  This is for a color challenge over at The Mosy Scrapper.  I love being on their design team!  We are going to have a live chat on this Wednesday evening and we are going to have a ball!  You should hurry up and head on over there and join, the girls there are great and there is a ton of inspiration!  Just click on the link above!

O.K. for this challenge I found a beautiful picture of my grand-daughter Gianna (wait she can't take a bad picture).  I hope that you like and leave me some love, I love hearing from everyone!

So that's it for now and I promise to get better at posting more often!

As Jake would say,
Here's winkin' at ya,

Busy, busy, busy....

I cannot believe that July is already here!  June was such a busy month....hopefully I can slow down and breathe a little bit in the near future.  I am way behind on everything that needs to be done.

I did finish a design team creation for The Mosy Scrapper.  The sponsor for July was My Little Bit of Whimsy.  Stephanie Hart is the owner of My Little Bit of Whimsy and her items of Polymer clay buttons, embellishments and pins are so adorable.  Head on over to her site and see all of the cute stuff that she has, make sure you stop by the blog and gallery too!  I still need to complete a couple of more projects, but I wanted to get at least one posted.  I hope that you like!

Well, so as Jake would say, "Here's winkin' at ya"  And remember to have a safe and wonderfully fun 4th of July.  Also thank a veteran today!
