Full Circle

You know people will tell you that you know when your life comes full circle.  I can truly say now that I know what they mean and that it has happened to me.  It is the greatest thing ever!  My grandchildren have been spending some time with us and it is the greatest thing ever!  I never thought that anything could top how I felt when I gave birth to my children.  But now that I have grandchildren and am able to spend time with them since they are back in the states, I think that this tops that feeling!

The pictures are of what has been going on the past 2 weeks!

At the airport.

Isn't she sweet?  Lil' Miss Gianna

So see life does come full circle!

Sad Day

We have had a rough day today.  Both my husband and I are volunteer firefighters.  We have had several inches of rain and everyone around here knows that is not good in the mountains.  It comes down off of the mountains fast and hard!  With all of the snow that we have had that has recently melted the ground is saturated.  The creeks and rivers are raging and overflowing their banks.  This morning my husband and I were at fire school and it came over the speaker that one of our local volunteer firefighters was lost in a swift water rescue.  His boat capsized while on a rescue and he never resurfaced.  There is a Black Hawk helicopter and rescue and recovery teams out looking for him.  This is one of our own, one of our brothers.  People don't realize that every time the tone goes off it could be the last one for us.  We risk our lives every day to help and to save people.  I know people panic when the water starts rising, but please, please, please when the water starts to rise, don't try to drive through it or walk across it.  Not only are you risking your life, but the life of someones son, daughter, husband, wife.....someone's daddy, someone's mommy....please don't do it.

The rain has just about stopped, but the tears are still falling and the water continues to rise.

I was looking forward to maybe getting outside this week and enjoying some spring weather, instead, we will more than like be getting firetrucks ready for a fallen brothers funeral.

I pray to our Heavenly Father to keep our fellow brothers and sisters safe as they are out there saving lives everyday.  Keep them safe and out of harms way.  Please Lord, lay your hand on this missing firefighter and his family and their department.  Please give them strength and comfort.  I pray in your name, Amen.

More Excitement!

OH MY!!!!  In yesterday's mail I received my first kit as a design team member with Anthologies.  And all I can say is OH MY!!!  I can't reveal the contents or the designs that I create with the kit until April 1, when the kit is available for purchase.  BUT....I can get you some sneak peek's!!!  So those will come hopefully at the end of this week once I get done playing with my grandbabies that just arrived from Germany last week.

Now remember if you want to see who else made the design team, please look over to your left for their blogs and go and give them a visit!  Tell them that Sandy sent you ;o)  You can also check out the stores blog at www.anthologiesbyme.blogspot.com

OK now, I am off to play with the grandbabies, since they are awake.  Their mommy and daddy will be picking them up today, so I have to get my lovin' in now.

So, as Jake would say...

Here's winkin' at ya ;o)

You know the song "I'm so excited".....

Well, I am soooooooo excited!!!  I have been about to bust at the seams all week wanting to tell the news, but I couldn't....I made a design team!  It is for a store outside of Dallas in Hurst, TX.  The name of the store is Anthropologies.  The web address is www.anthologiesbyme.com   They are also introducing a new kit line....Anthologie Connections.  I can't wait to get my hands on all of the goodies in the kit and to start creating for them!  If you look on the left sidebar of my blog, you will find all of the design team members, please take a second to visit their blogs and tell them congratulations!!!!

Now for the second part of my good day today!!!!  I am getting ready to leave to go to Cincinatti to pick up my daugther, son-in-law, and my grandbabies!  They are coming in from Germany and will be changing duty stations to Fort Knox, Kentucky.  I haven't even met my grand daughter yet.

Well, now I need to get busy because we are leaving just as soon as Wayne get's home from work!

Here's winking at ya!

Just sharing some things...

I have had lot of things going on lately, but I wanted to share some things with you!
This has been one of the snowiest winters on record for West Virginia, and I'll tell ya...this Southeast Texas born and raised girl loves it!  While everyone is complaining about about the snow and wishing it would just go away, I just snicker and sit back and say to myself I love it.  I can't help it.  Here is how much snow we got last week:

And I even used my Making Memories ruler to measure!  Yes you see right 10 1/2".  I just wish my kids were still small enough to want to go sledding...but alas, they are teenagers and don't want to be bothered with fun stuff like that.

Here is a picture of Jake, he is our Blue Tick hound.  Do you see him winking at you?  He is so cute!

And tomorrow is a big day for me!!!!  First off, I get to make a huge announcement!  I am so excited about it.  Second we (Wayne and I) will be going to Cincinatti to pick up my oldest daughter Tiffany, her husband Matt and my two gorgeous grandbabies Dominick and Gianna at the airport.  They have lived in Germany for three years and will be changing duty stations to Fort Knox, Kentucky.  My little car will be racking up some miles going back and forth seeing them!!!

Well, I still have lots to do before tomorrow....so stay tuned for my announcement!

Here's winking at ya ;o)
